Tiny TAMA: What Ele’s been up to!

SAMURAI*crawls out from under the mountain of work*

*dusts off*

*clears throat*

Hello, everyone! I’ve been one busy girl! Fox Obviate and I have opened a store for tiny avatars called Tiny TAMA and we’ve been working day and night to get things ready. I also had the official opening of DAZ Island with the launch of Hexagon 2.5 (which has company implemented SCULPTIE support, yay!) and in RL, am doing a job for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. How many hours in a day did someone say there were?

South Seas Pirate from Tiny Tama

We are specializing in tinies at these stores because it’s just too cool to be a tiny! They are, as we are learning, a heck of a lot of fun to design for. There is the need to tailor things for the different avatars, much more so than even with humans. The fox and some others are similar, but can vary slightly to a lot through the neck and head.

Tiny TAMA has a great line of asian-styled furniture (currently, the 155 series is in the stores) and a fantastic line of tiny clothing…samurais and hakamas. I am presently in Modo and Hex, modeling sculpted kimonos and several other things. There will be stone pathways, large (by bonsai standards) bonsai trees, meditation platforms and gazebos and many other things as we get them done, textured and make them available to you.

I hate SL groups, don’t you? As an artist, builder and business, my groups racked up early. So I went seeking a better solution and found it in Zanara Zenovka’s Mailbox System with Subscription ability. When you come to the store, you will see what looks like a little chinese take out box with two scultped eggrolls. These are, what else, our EGGROLLMENT. You click on the greenie one to sign up (and there’s a handsome welcome gift). Click the reddish one if you really and truly want to leave us (whimper). Once on the list, I will send out newsletters to update you on what’s new at Tiny TAMA. The newsletter even comes in a beautiful light sculpture.

We do hope you will stop by to see us and make sure you pan out with your camera to see the huge maneki neko atop the store and the chinese takeout box entrance.

Hey, Harper! Girl, you always are one of my strongest supporters. Thanks for the plug! We are having so much fun. The opening was a huge success….over 100 people came to the store and many went to the concert where Cypress Rosewood played as a tiny bulldog. Fox made an appearance as Elvis while DJ Shay Sunnyside played some the King’s tunes and it was hilarious. Tinies know how to have fun. Hope you try it some time. Hugs and kisses.

  • the wild, wild tiny west April 7, 2009
April is Western month at Raglan!  The tumbleweeds and cactus had been encroaching, but they are firmly ensconced for the month and mercantiles and wagons are cropping up everywhere.  OMG, and the language!  ”Pardner” and “varmint” are being slung around like cow-paddies….everywhere!  The Good, the Bad and the-just-plains-tinie […]

  • jaffas and easter egg hunts, oh my! March 3, 2009
We premiered the Tiny Horus Jaffa this week at Tiny TAMA.  This is an exquisite set with a sculpted helmet that animates down.  The texturing is quite beautiful on it and the more egyptian style outfit to go with it that is more in keeping with the Stargate film.  The standard version (300L$) has a [...]

  • games, faeries and a tiny night on the town January 16, 2009
Sometime ago, I asked a good friend of mine, Kenn Nilsson, if he could create a script for me to do some games at Tiny TAMA.  The game was incredibly fun and the tinies had a blast.  Kenn created the script to allow for creativity and variety.  The first time we played the game, we [...]

  • Jaffas invade Tiny TAMA: STARGATE tinies behind the Wheel! November 17, 2008
Tiny TAMA unveiled the beginning of its Stargate line and celebrated with the Stargate Chase Race that was held today in front of the TT stores in Morningshire. About a dozen tinies entered their Competition-model Needlethreader Death Gliders to test their skills by racing through five succeedingly smaller rings as they went around Morningshire. [...]

  • something wicked this way comes: it’s halloween time! October 11, 2008
Ghoulishly good fun can be had with this animated sculpted pumpkin! The lid pops open and out sneak the charred bony fingers of a fiendish ghoul, propping the lid to survey the land for victims. Could it be YOU?! This pumpkin animates on rezzing, and loops with a short peek and a [...]

  • a bauble for your thoughts: sl jewelry expo starts today October 5, 2008
Ok, it’s been much too long…and all I can say is it’s been a really busy time. Feeble excuse, I know. Mea culpa! We had a great tiny Medieval Festival in September and are heading into Halloween, but we start off the month with a grand exposition of jewelry in Second Life. [...]

We’ve had a lot of fun happenings at Tiny TAMA and in Raglan Shire.  Fox and I have released two major new products, The Dragon Emperor and Little Miss Market Piggy.  The Dragon Emperor is a beautiful set of tiny armor based on the emperor from the latest Mummy movie released this summer. • tiny olympics – starts today at 11 am slt in the raglan shires July 12, 2008
I have the distinct honor of being the starting torch bearer for the Tiny Olympics. Tinies know how to do things big and with lots of heart. It is what attracted me to this community and has me spending much of my time there. I still am a human, but I admittedly [...]

Like a dark wave on the land, discernible yet obscure, there and yet not there…the NINJA descend on the shire on July 5th. Armed to the teeth (or would be if they ever showed them) with a katana, tanto, throwing star and nunchucks, the NINJAs are swathed in black bindings to conceal them while [...]
